My Daily Protocol: The Discipline Behind Living Well at 55

People sometimes ask me why I do so much every day. Why all the supplements, why the workouts, why the routines that look like a full-time job. The answer is simple:

This is the price of staying strong, pain-free, and medicine-free at 55.
And for me, it’s worth every step.

This is my daily protocol — deliberate, intentional, and built from years of trial, illness, recovery, and learning how to take care of this one body God gave me.

MORNING: Setting the Tone

Morning starts with two things: breath and fuel.

Breathing meditation at the roof deck.
Just me, the cool air, and the day ahead. Three to five minutes of calm before the engine starts.

Then the fueling begins:

  • Coffee loaded with creatine, cocoa, collagen, and stevia – my version of rocket fuel.
  • MWF: MOTS-C – mitochondrial support para hindi agad ramdam ang edad.
  • Morning Drink 1: Methylene blue – cognitive sharpness, mental clarity, brain energy.
  • Morning Drink 2:  water + shilajit extract + Celtic sea salt + lemon (or vinegar) + magnesium citrate. Replenish vital minerals - Hydration, minerals, and electrolytes in one hit.

The Meaning Economy: Why Filipinos Need to Stop Feeding on Digital Junk Food

“Hindi masama ang social media — pero masama kung ito lang ang bumubuhay sa utak mo.”

The Digital Habits of Filipinos

Let’s be real — Filipinos love social media.
We’re one of the most online countries in the world.
From the moment we wake up until before we sleep, our thumbs are busy scrolling through TikTok, Facebook Reels, YouTube Shorts — laughing at pranks, lip-syncs, gossip, and “hugot” quotes.

On paper, that sounds harmless. But when you add up the hours — and the effect — you’ll see what’s really happening: we’re feeding our minds with digital junk food.

Every scroll is like another bag of chichirya. Masarap, mabilis, pero walang sustansya.

OZEIN Air Purifier Review: Breathe Easier, Live Healthier

OZEIN Air Purifier Review: Breathe Easier, Live Healthier

Why I Use the OZEIN Air Purifier with Ozonator — and Why You Should Too

Tags: air purifier Philippines, ozone air cleaner, anti-virus air purifier, clean air, family health

I’ve had asthma and weak lungs for as long as I can remember. As a child, I suffered from bronchitis and tuberculosis, and even after recovering from COVID, my breathing never went back to normal. I also have allergic rhinitis, which makes me extra sensitive to dust and mold.

When I moved into my condo, I noticed a slight moldy smell from old furniture and leather. It didn’t seem serious at first, but after a while, my allergies flared up again. That’s when I decided to try something new — the OZEIN Air Purifier with Ozonator.

The Real Meaning of Wealth: Beyond Money and Material Success

When people hear the word wealth, they often think of big houses, luxury cars, and overflowing bank accounts. Society has conditioned us to believe that wealth is simply the sum of our financial assets. But let’s be honest—how many rich people do you know who are stressed, sick, lonely, or spiritually empty?

That’s not wealth. That’s just money.

True wealth goes far beyond income or possessions. Real wealth is about living life on your own terms. It’s about freedom—the ability to choose how you spend your time, who you spend it with, and what kind of impact you make in this world.

The 4 Pillars of True Wealth

1. Time Freedom

If you have money but no time, you’re still poor. Real wealth means waking up without an alarm clock because you control your schedule—not a boss or a deadline.

A SME's Little Known, But Deadly Weapon: Why Every Small Business Needs a CRM

In today’s fast-paced digital world, running a small business seems like a very difficult juggling act — you're managing clients, following up on leads, handling marketing, answering messages, scheduling appointments, and trying to grow… all at once.

This is exactly where CRM comes in.

What is a CRM (Customer Relationship Management System), in Layman's Terms?
Not massively popular here in Ph, a CRM is like an online assistant that helps you track, organize, and nurture your business relationships — all in one place. It remembers every lead, follows up for you, keeps your team in sync, and makes sure no opportunity falls through the cracks.

2024 Reflections: From Shadows to Strength

2024. What a year. A whirlwind of closed doors, stinging failures, and moments of disappointment so heavy they felt like lead. It was the kind of year that tests your mettle, strips you down to your rawest form, and makes you question if the fight is even worth it.

But then—little by little—things began to shift. Not in a fireworks-and-parades kind of way, but in the quiet, almost imperceptible moments. A kind smile from an unexpected friend. The rekindling of an old bond that felt like sunlight after a seemingly endless winter. The small joys, the tiny victories—piling up like grains of sand, you can already see the building of something solid, something worth holding on to.

A Festive Night to Remember at LaVie: Lights, Food, and the Spirit of the Season

Let me tell you something about LaVie Resort & Casino—they don’t do things halfway. When they decide to kick off the holiday season, they go all in. Case in point: the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony last December 3, at the Edge Sports Bar at the New Coast Hotel in Malate. I went expecting another cookie-cutter holiday event. What I got was an evening that smacked me square in the face with classy decadence, charm, and a touch of soul.

Guests were treated to a marvelous experience filled with festive decor and live performances of DJ Justiz and Hype Man JBarz.

First, there was the tree. Massive. Glorious. A monument to holiday excess in all the best ways. Golden accents, glittering ornaments, and lights that made the entire venue glow like something out of a fever dream. It wasn’t just a tree—it was a beacon, radiating warmth and the faint, distant hope that maybe the season still means something.

Tony's Truly-Good Tonic

This potent tonic I developed features a blend of some of nature’s most powerful bio-active ingredients: garlic, onions, lemon, ginger, turmeric, black pepper, cayenne, honey, and virgin coconut oil, and clove-cardamom tea. It aims to boost the immune system, serve as a natural antibiotic, improve gut and respiratory health, promote circulation, reduce inflammation, and combat pathogens.

In my own personal experience, having had 3 covid bouts that left me weak and sickly, this tonic has been instrumental in helping me ward off respiratory sickness and has helped me have more energy.

A caveat - the taste may be a bit too strong for some, and may cause digestive stress, if so you can take the tonic with meals.

Also, I DO NOT CLAIM ANY THERAPEUTIC BENEFITS for this tonic. I'm practically just giving this away to humanity, especially for those who are sick, and wants to try a natural alternative or support for expensive antibiotic treatment.

Here's the good stuff:

A Love Letter To My Bea - 1983 Honda CX400 Custom

There’s a certain kind of satisfaction that comes from straddling a machine like my Bea, not a person, sorry, but my daily ride motorcycle, a 1983 Honda CX400 Custom. Named it after Bea Alonzo, the actress, who I find very beautiful and classy looking. It's not the type of satisfaction that you get from the latest hyper-engineered crotch rockets with their aggressively designed plastics, with more electronics than a NASA space shuttle. No, this is a different kind of satisfaction—one that’s earned, a satisfaction that emerges and rumbles from deep within the soul, like the low, guttural growl of that transverse, carbureted, Moto-Guzzi style - 400cc V-twin engine.

Breakfast at Grills and Sizzles: A Morning Ritual of Mine I'd Begrudgingly Share

In a city that never seems to sleep, breakfast is often an afterthought. A quick cup of coffee, a hurried piece of pandesal, maybe a protein mix chugged in one long drink. But there’s a small corner of the world where breakfast is a distinctly pinoy art form, where the first meal of the day is revered, not rushed. That place is Grills and Sizzles, a family-owned gem tucked away at the corner of Examiner and Times streets in Quezon City -  a go-to haven for those who understand that mornings are meant to be savored.

Walking into Grills and Sizzles feels like stepping into someone’s home, and in a way, it is. The cozy, homey ambiance is more than just decor; it’s an invitation to relax, to slow down, to take a moment. The warmth of the wooden furniture, the smell of freshly brewed coffee hanging in the air, the soft hum of conversations—this is where you start your day right.

A Taste of Canton: A Journey Through Lili

EXPTV - Road Trip - Tony Agudo 08.23.2024

There’s a certain magic that happens when you step into a place like Lili Cantonese Restaurant. It’s not just the grand décor, or the buzzing chatter of a packed dining room. No, it’s something deeper, something almost intangible. A vibe that tells you this is where you’re going to have a damn good meal.

How to Make Your Resolutions Work!

As the new year dawns upon us, many of us find ourselves eager to embrace change and set resolutions to better our lives. However, the challenge lies not in making resolutions, but in making them work. In this guide, we'll explore practical strategies to help you turn your resolutions into lasting habits.

Write Down and Set Realistic Goals

The first step to making your resolutions work is setting realistic and achievable goals. Avoid setting vague or overly ambitious resolutions that may lead to frustration. Instead, break down your larger goals into smaller, manageable steps. For example, if your resolution is to get fit, start with a specific exercise routine or a realistic weight loss target.

Make Valuable and Worthwhile Goals

To say the least - Your goals should inspire you. That, when you imagine their accomplishment, you'd have a very powerful feeling of happiness and fulfillment. More often than not, these goals will be to the benefit of others, like: a house for the whole family, a vacation for a spouse/partner, making a significant contribution to a worthy cause.

RESOLVE to Make It Happen, Make a SOLID COMMITMENT to Achievement

This is actually the most important step. It is the matter of Mind-Set. Making your mind up and DECIDING to be consistent, persistent and to do whatever it takes to reach the goal.

It is making a sincere promise, a covenant with yourself, and to keep that promise despite the challenges and difficulties. It is the commitment to ditch the excuses and to be fully accountable and responsible for the achievement of a treasured goal. You may come up with the grandest and most inspiring goals, but if you don't do what you need to do, whatever it takes; or you don't see it through til the end, it will just only be a dream.

Soon To Come, My New Book: Big Pond, Small Pond

Here is the draft intro for my book. Hope you like it. ;)

BIG POND, SMALL POND - Understanding Each Other - Business and Marketing to the Rich and the Poor
- by Tony Agudo 06072023

Chapter I: Introduction

Being in many businesses for the past decades, I have been involved with marketing and selling various products and services, ranging from those affordable and those very expensive (such as real estate). On one particular instance, when I was not having much success with creating interest and sales with what I saw was a great and highly relevant product, a mentor of mine in the business said: "Tony, I know you're such a great marketer, you're good with effectively educating the people about the benefits of our product. But I think you are just fishing in the "wrong pond"... This was the thought that led to the creation of this book. It had started in me the desire to understand the dynamics of the rich and the poor, the "the big fishes" and the "little fishes". I hope that this book helps you, dear reader, to understand and empathize, to take action, and hopefully contribute towards creating a more equitable, empathetic, and happier society.

A. Explanation of the Metaphor: Big Pond (Affluent Market) vs. Small Pond (Poor Individuals)

In this introductory chapter, we lay the foundation for understanding the metaphorical concept of the Big Pond and the Small Pond. The Big Pond represents the "big fish", the affluent market, characterized by individuals with higher purchasing power and access to resources and opportunities for economic gain. Conversely, the Small Pond represents individuals who are economically disadvantaged or living in poverty, facing various challenges due to limited financial means, with little or no access to opportunities and capital.

Is Network Marketing in the Philippines Good Business?

Let's talk about the elephant is the room: "Is Network Marketing Legal? Is it Ethical or Unethical?"

Network Marketing is just a business model. A way to get products from the manufacturer to the end user. Its basically the same as any other business except that it is built upon "word of mouth" - direct selling, and creating a distribution network of individual distributors/members, instead of retail shops and outlets. Yes, it will be a pyramid shaped structure, but heck, everything is a "pyramid" if we will look at the sales and distribution "network" of any big business.

To get it out of the way, these are the local practices and ways that Network Marketing becomes unethical: 1. Product/s is bad. 2. Products are overpriced. 3. Pressure Selling - People practically force their prospects to join by making unrealistic promises. 4. "Kidnap/Budol: - They invite their prospects supposedly to a birthday or party, only to be brought to a sales junket.

How I Connected My Life Purpose and Mission with Network Marketing

First off, I'd like to say that Network Marketing being a good thing is very subjective. While there are a lot of great businesses out there, there are still those predatory companies and "scam artists" that are doing damage to many people and the industry. I myself, have failed countless times in Network Marketing, having lost a lot money throughout the decades… That aside, in this post, what I will discuss why I still believe in this business model, and, how I've found my own way, and how I have aligned it with my spirituality and life-purpose/mission: which is to give low income people the platform where they can build foundational wealth, with less capital and less risk, in a professional and ethical manner.

As a citizen of a predominantly financially poor country, it's very common to see the negative effects of poverty on people and society. Poverty impacts so many aspects of life with such a large majority of our population. I realized that this truly distressed me. So, I embarked upon many a business with the intent to make "contribution" to society once I made my money. But that strategy for me has had mixed results. Throughout the decades, with all the trial and errors, and experiences, I realized that there was no company that provided what I believed would be the proper "recipe" for poverty alleviation. So, I had to do it my own way: I setup my own company - one that reflected my values, beliefs as a businessperson and my life's mission - to help people elevate themselves and their families from poverty, through gainful entrepreneurship.

Here is what I did, and why I believe that this is the best Network Marketing setup, to serve low income people and give them a platform to create foundational wealth:

1. Low Start Up and Maintenance - I specifically had low income, minimum wage people in mind when I was designing the business plan. It had to be an amount that they could readily afford and one that wouldn't put a very big strain on their monthly budget. What I disliked about other companies' higher entry fees is that, I saw a lot of people resorted to selling valuables, taking loans and even pawning stuff, just to be able to put together the money to enter the business, only to lose out in the end.
